UK Home office earlier this week suspended any ETS recognized English test TOEFL & TOEIC as approved English language qualification for overseas students and immigrants in UK.
Tier 4 students concern: As TOEIC sudden suspension from the approved English test of UKBA, many Tier 4 student in a big trouble with their English test. UKBA sending letter to all students who have pending application with TOEIC certificate to arrange a new English test. Until student achieve another English test result their application will be held.
All TOEIC English test result has been suspended. No matter when you did the exam or how. It’s no more approved partner of UK home office. So all tier 4 students should note it’s no longer a valid certificate for you as proof of efficiency in English. You have to sit for new English test.
Few UK home office approved English language test provider:
2. Pearson Test (PTE)
3. City & guilds
4. Cambridge esol
What next if you already have a TOEIC or TOEFL Test Score?
If you already have a Test result from TOEFL or TOEIC CERF B2 or B1 level and your visa is running out soon. In that case apply with your existing test score, do not let your immigration status overstayed while you sit for another English Test. The best action would be to apply before your current expire leaves with your existing TOEIC or TOEFL test score.
Your extension application will not be processed until either you provide evidence of your qualification from one of the other five providers, or the Home Office concludes its investigation into ETS (which will probably take some time).
