Highly trusted sponsored list has been published for Tier 4 yesterday (6th April, 2010) by the Uk Border Agency. Previously had two categories of tier 4 that is “A” and “B” rating. Ukba added one more category is called Highly Trusted Sponsor. These highly trusted sponsored educational institutes are more trustworthy and reliable to British The Border Agency.

What is highly trusted sponsor under Tier 4? According to Uk Border Agency

Under Tier 4 of the points-based system, all sponsors receive an ‘A’ or ‘B’ rating. The new Highly Trusted sponsor category is a further segmentation of this sponsor rating system. It is designed to identify those sponsors who have the highest levels of compliance with their sponsor obligations, and whose students are showing the greatest compliance with the terms of their visa or permission to stay.

In this Highly trusted sponsored category institute will have some additional features and service than A & B rating. Click here to learn more details of these feature

Generally you don’t need to do IELTS if you college ask for it then you may have to do it. Your college ”South London College” is highly trusted.

Thanks for your comments. As you are currently enrolled in a course so you do not need to do IELTS. But you could do it to secure your extension permit if you have enough time.

In that case Embassy might hold your file for a long time until they got confirmation of your college retain Tier 4 licence or if they suspended finally they will refuse your visa.

My suggestion would be if you do not want to wait for a long time then withdraw your application and arrange for a new CAS from different college who is holding Tier 4 licence.

I have completed my masters and result was published in June this year. My awarding body is university of east London but I studied at college which been suspended 11 of July while I am preparing my all papers applying for PSW and I am run out of my visa next week . Any one can tell me does it affect me if I applied for visa now? If so, what can I do in this situation?

Oh! you know what? You are safe I think because you are not applying for student visa. You have done you education and you don’t need any Tier 4 licensed sponsor for PSW.

If you have got all the paper’s then just apply. Its not your headache whether that college in Tier list or not because you are no longer student of that college. Don’t worry. Just apply soon.

Nice to see you again. As per point based system your CAS letter contain 30 points and 10 points for maintenance fund in total you must need 40 points to get visa.

If you college don’t have Tier 4 licence that means you’ll refused automatically. It doesn’t matter how rich you are. The matter you must obtain total 40 points to get UK student visa. I hope you understand.

It is true .As per rules your visa application will be holded on still the final decision is take.Hopefully the college will be reinstated.It is not a paper college.Clases are regularly conducted.It is having good infrastracture.

I really appreciate your constructive comments. Its doesn’t matter whether its Visa college or Genuine college because UK Home Office knows what they are doing. They don’t do anything without proper investigation. Anyway its true your visa decision would be hold until the college reinstate or fully suspended. But sometimes exception happens. Cheers

i am a student of NWC college Alperton House and on 1st of august i am travelling India for summer holidays but now as every college is going on black listed i am worrying to travel and i am not even know that whether my college is black listed or not.

Thanks for your comments. Yes this is really embarrassing situation for students. They always keep update with college Tier 4 licence. I already wrote how to check your college/university Tier 4 licence status Read properly and follow this instruction. By regular checking you could know what is the current status of your college.

I hope this could be helpful for you. Listen you must go to country and you are not oblige to stay here in fear of college licence suspension.

I applied for student visa in British Institute of Technology & E-Commerce, London. I submitted my case in 14th April, 2011 with my husband(dependant). I m continuously checking my status its shows, my visa application is still under process in british high commission from dated: 02nd May. Someone told me that BITE is suspended from sponsors list of UKBA. Could you plz help me what should i do now????? Pls do let me know that BITE is suspended or not. Yes you are right that British Institute of Technology & E-Commerce is no longer hold tier 4 licence. In that case you should have to wait for a long time for your application decision until your college reinstate or fully suspended.

If your college reinstated Tier 4 licence then you might have great chance to get visa but if they are fully suspended finally then result should be very negative. I hope you understand. At this moment nothing to do just wait and see how it goes on.

Thanks to comment again but I think you are too worried. Please be calm down. From the date your college suspend and it takes around 3/5 months to get decision from the UK Home Office. Until London Business Academy reinstated their Tier 4 licence I couldn’t give you anymore info on this occasion.

Thanks steve and admit fir your prompt reply. But I was wondering there is provision in the form that you need to fill up regarding the college. The provision is all about the license of the college and as you know the PSW visa is now point based and I will get my main certificate in November but will get my transcript this week, so do you think is this a problem for me and one more thing the college has already issued me a PSW letter at the day of its suspension. waiting for your reply …..thank you

Thanks for your comments. Yes we know this is happen regularly. Sometimes they take longer time to conclude a application but you don’t need to worry. On the other way you could call to your local visa office or check your application (an online application reference should be provided when you applied) status online. Don’t worry.

In that case you need to wait atleast 6/8 weeks while they are in under investigate if London Management School apply for get back their Tier 4 licence.

I am studying in British Institute of technology and E-Commerce, My question is as college is suspended and i have completed my two semesters and half through on dissertation for MBA, so what happens to me like if i am still be receiving my degree as we were supposed to get degree from coventry university.

If i am still eligible to apply for PSW or not.

what if college will get suspended permanently in worst case.

Please advice me what should i do , and usually how long does UKBA take to reinstate of suspend college permanently.

I m overseas student.Is there any new rule for international student that they can not live here more than one month after completion of one course and getting admission in another course?I mean if someone has valid visa till december and his course finished in september with result he has to get admissio in another course immediatyely in october otherwise he has to go back to home country for extension.thanks

I just want to know that is my college highly trusted or what. currently they are just replying us that college is being temporarily suspended. It’ll b fine in few months. My college is BCOC (Bickenhall college of Computing). I’m really confused.
