London Met Update: UK High Court permit current Non EU students to continue their study

London Metropolitan University international students (NON EU) has been permitted to continue their studies. UK High Court told on initial hearing of this case and London Met announced it to their website.

21st September was the first hearing of London Metropolitan University case at UK High Court. As we all know UKBA revoked its Tier 4 licence to recruit international students and more than 2000 overseas students suddenly fall in trouble where many of them are in mid of a degree, many of theme about to start. So in that case UKBA arranged a special task force to all London Met international students for aiding to find another sponsor or an alternative solution for them.

But recent news from UK High Court is very delighted to student. BBC news said ”LMU: Temporary reprieve for students”

Third year computer science student Ashiqur Rahman from Bangladesh said: “I am very happy if it’s true that I can continue my studies at the university, but I am waiting for confirmation”. – BBC News

Though the Judge has to review so many things in this case but right now The Judge has indicated that he is concerned to protect the interests of two categories of students, as follows:

1. Students at present in the UK and studying at London Met, as well as those planning to start their studies this autumn who have current full proper immigration status, so that they may stay and continue to pursue their studies with London Met , if they wish.

2. Students presently in the UK studying at London Met or those planning to study at London Met but who still wish to transfer to another institution to pursue their studies, can do so, providing they have full proper immigration status.
