London Met Tier 4 licence revoked: What to do now!

UK Government university London Metropolitan University has been banned to recruit international students  by the UK Boarder Agency. More than 2,500 international students studying in this University and they are panicking now for their future. UKBA withdrawn (revoked) London Met’s Tier 4 sponsor and as a result all non EU student have to find another sponsor within 60 days or return home country. London Metropolitan University was a Highly Trusted Sponsor.

The good news is UKBA announced a special taskforce team for London Met international students who will help the genuine students to transfer or find a new sponsor. They will also work on tuition fees refund , new university allocation, immigration help etc.

A UKBA spokesman said “You (student) do not need to do anything immediately. We will write to you after 1 October. We will ensure that you have 60 days to make a new student application or to arrange to leave the UK. This 60 days will start from the date we write to you.”

The UK Border Agency has sent staff to the help centre set up by the London Metropolitan University to support and advise students. The number is +44 (0) 20 7133 4141.
