Is your educational institute under tier 4 licence and A rated? The Uk Border Agency regularly change their tier 4 sponsor list for ensuring better education in Uk. This is very important to make sure your institutes sponsor category as a international student otherwise you could fall in immigration policy problem. To know regular updates of Tier 4 ‘A’ rated college and university list please click here.

Ok you knew your institute is under tier 4 sponsor listed and A rated but do you know the present circumstance of your college or university. So make sure your institute is under tier 4 sponsor listed and must be A rated.

Recently few institutes downgraded their sponsorship status ‘A’ to ‘B’ rated because of not maintaining Tier 4 criteria according to Uk Border Agency. One of my friends institute had downgraded to B grading and becase of that he is tensed.

Actually this home office policies are designed to tightened the disciplines of few colleges. Likes electronic attendance that home office has to be informed of an institutions students attendance daily. What happened with my friend is, she applied for an extension of leave to remain as a student and meanwhile the institution she had been studying has lost their Tier 4 license. Therefore, her visa extension is at a stake. If the institution does not get the license back early her extension will be suspended or even refused. She will be notified and given two months time to re enroll in a different institution. Whereas in the mid February no institution has got sits and final examination will be held on April-May. In my point of view this frequent change in law and the harsh steps taken by Home office is against fair legitimate policy. But as being a citizen of other foreign nationals not even EU students have no say against it, neither will someone speak for them. In these circumstances my advice toward the new students will be that, there is no scope for missing a single class whatsoever the reasons are and must have to be sat for the examination. If a student behaves like a genuine one apart from all the happenings and problems the Home office wont be able to manipulate them anymore. My well wishes and good luck to all.

I took admission in gateway2uk education college and applied visa on 28th january. but now i came to know that gateway2uk education college is not in tier 4 list. is this true ? and if yes then what should I do ? and what are the chances of getting visa? Thank you

In this case you don’t have any chance to get VISA because of 40 points criteria. As an international student you need minimum 40 points for getting Uk Visa. Thanks

Yes maybe you are right. I searched your college in Tier 4 list but unfortunately its not in Tier 4 list. As I said before to Piyush Patel that there is no chance for getting visa. I’m not sure but you guys can do one thing that withdraw your application before declined it and then admit Tier 4 ‘A’ rated college again and submit it again to the Uk Visa office. Thanks

If you ask them what about the licence they will tell you don’t worry, just attened your class and make sure your payment is not outstanding. They are just unprofessional regarding this issue.

Sir nazir once again thanks a lot for providing me such a useful information by d way what do you think British embassy will issue us a visa or not i m talking about the all students of London sam who actually are in Pakistan. i have submitted case on 20th January before its license had withdrawn so kindly do me a favor regarding London SAM that what should we do because we have already paid our course fee.
in this case visa will b refused or not.

Thank you for your comments. As far as I know until London Sam get back their licence Uk embassy will not give you decision probably. If they get back licence then you have great chance to get visa. And if not then London Sam should send back your money.

From London SAM no update news and Uk home office as well. So you have to wait until they don’t get any decision. Now it’s upto Uk Home office.

If your college suspend from tier 4 list they can’t subscribe new international students until they get back licence. But on the meantime local students can enroll.

Thanks for your comments. It’s really sad news but as far as I know London Sam has less chance to come back. Maybe they are planning to go make case against Uk Home office (unofficially heard it) for get back their licence.

1) If you want to change college then take a clearence from your present college and submit it to new college.

2) As you came after 31st October 2009 you need new visa if you want to change your institute. For more details go to Ukba website.

3) Contact with home office regarding your visa and changing college.

4) I don’t know how you’ll get back money from your college. It’s maybe written on your acceptence letter. It will depend on your fees return policy.

london sam is permenently removed from tier 4.
UKBA had permenently widrawn its licence without notice.so london sam is going to make case against UKBA that, for which reason their licence had permenently suspended.???

Thanks for your comments. Metro collgege of management science is under Tiet 4 and it’s ‘B’ rated college.

So you have chance to get visa but no certainity. I hope you’ll get your visa soon.

The main difference is very clear between A and B rating institute. A is always trusty than B category. B rating institute is about under observation. For more details click here How we award A and B ratings

You have possibilities of getting visa but make sure you claim 40 points. If you get 40 points then you have 100% chance.

As you know Uk Border Agency nothing cleared about ‘B’ rating institutes point system.

I applied for student visa last march and but there is no result yet…i don’t know the reason why issuing of student visa right now take so long compared to previous months..
my sponsor school is a and s training college( a rating)..i’ve heard that they are no longer issue visa if ur sponsor school is not a HIghly trusted school…

I think Uk high commission is confused. As far as I know if your college is A rated then you’ll get 30 points. Their is no question to be must HTS. Wait for their decision.

Even they took too much time for my file as well. At last I got the f…ken Uk visa.

It is not mandatory to be Highly trusted sponsor (HTS) for Uk visa. But to make sure 30 points it has to be at least ‘A’ trusted college or university.

hi to everyone, according to the discussion, it seems that those who have B rated collage/university but they have the license will not be awarded 30 points. my question is that why they mentioned in the tier 4 list approved collage list?as per the list there are no of collages and universities who have b rated but they have license. please clarify the position if any one know the real story.

helllo sir….i want to know about my college tier 4 status..its name was geos english academy london.but now its name is changed as language teaching center london (ltc)…i havechecke the list of tier 4 colleges geos is in there but LTC is not in the list….i have spoken to my teachers and they told me that geos is collasped…….im not sure what to do…cause LTC is not in the list…can u please help me to sort out this problem…

Dear Nadeem Anjum,
According to UKBA if the college is A rated OR B rated then student will be awarded 30 points but course he in which he take admission must be equal to NQF Level 4 or above and course less then level 4 only highly trusted sponsor will be awarded 30 points (www.ukba.com)

According to my research from the last 3 months.I want to advise ur friend to take admsn in imperial college.Imperial college is 2nd rank college in uk after cambridge.If it is not affordable then he should take admsn in university of wales it is highly trusted sponsor & affordable fee.

hi dear, please i want to know if the london training college uk is not going to get thier license back again becuause since november 2009 thier license was suspended uptill now they’ve not recieved it back again but others college would take not less than three months. so please advise me what should i do, i’ve been waiting for over seven months now.

Because even they get back Tier 4 status it won’t help you. If they come back then they will get B rating intially that will not fulfil your criteria of PBS system.

Chose a new institute that is A trusted college. I think this should be good decision.

please i was admitted into the London training college UK in September 2009, in November 2009 their license was suspended and i am advice to wait till they resumed back with their new license. Is it possible because i don’t have any other tuition fees to pay to any new college? please advice me.

Though your college come back to Tier 4 you’ll not get 30 points for your CAS letter(therefore, visa assurity less). So better to withdrawn your tution fees and admission from that college.
