Highly trusted sponsor is a new category under Tier 4. I’ll update this post periodically on the basis of Uk Home Office update. I finished my course in certificate in dental nursing recently and I passed the exam too.But my visa is valid till november 2011. My college is saying I have to join another course within 1 month otherwise there is no point of having valid visa. Is that true? If it is, I am bit worried about which course and which college to choose? Also, I have heard that students studying below level 6 are only allowed to work 10 hours and I have got my dependent with me as well. Can you please guide me what should I do in this case?

Thanks for your nice comments. Your college is right a bit but not truly, you have maximum 90 days remaining form the date when you finish course. Literally that means you have 3 months to admit in a new course otherwise you may not consider as a valid student.
Now about your course, as you just finished your certificate level I would recommend you to study in diploma/advance level or full undergraduate course. But remember wherever you admit for new course make sure its Highly Trusted institute due to renew your visa in November 2011. Thanks for your quick reply. Actually, I have got a lot of queries which I think, only you can answer correctly. I am thinking to join Business Management Integr. Diploma L6 in South London college. Is south London College a highly trusted sponsor and Do I qualify for this course? The intakes are in february and April and I hope I will join from April. Will there be any problem in my visa if I join that course in April? Yes South London College is highly trusted institute.
When your visa will expire, apply for extension. Before that you dont need to apply for further visa if you change college (it applies if you come before October 2009). When changing college just send a email to Uk Home Office that you are changing college.
Apart from this you need to apply visa for changing college if you came later October 2009 in this country.

No. As a student you don’t have any rights to start your own business according to UKba Immigration law. Legally you can ride taxi under a company and not over 20 hours in weekly but personally you can’t start driving taxi for earning purpose.

i need some information regarding my admission.
i came here in last september 2010 in dundee college scotland HND programe, 2 years full time.
i passed Bachelor of commerce (2 years) from university of Punjab lahore.
the college agent in pakistan miss guide me and put me in wrong level.
B.com = HND
i was not aware the level of HND, he told me that you will be able to get admission directly in MBA after HND but it is not so.
i talked with college mangmnet to change my level or refund my money but he suggest me to go back an apply again in university in 3rd year of graduation.
i went back to pakistan in november 2010 by college permission, i talked with british council, they told me that u dnt need new visa from here, go back to UK talk with your college, i came back again in feburary but college did not solve my problem, at the end i decide to leave the college because i just came here to complete my MBA.
HND track wastes my 2 years and i dnt wana waste my time.
now i am free from the college,
i find some PGD courses leading to MBA.
you please tell me what i have to do ?
i already wasted 7000 ponds by paying fees, living and travelling expense.
should i go back to pakistan ?
should i start Btec or PGD level 7 course ? and from which college ?

I wish to know wether I can open a small business in a shop to be selling some African stuf in other to support my wife who is a full time student. I am worrying about my college because i was student of BBA here before oct 2009 but i changed my college from where i get my visa because of fees torture and then i changed my course now i am studying in ACCA course level 6 but my sponsor college is suspended where i have already pay all my courses fees . Thanks for your comments. As per current Tier 4 policy if you change college you won’t get any extra benefit. Better to wait and see what happen to your current college because you have enough time for extension. Yes people are saying that if you extend your visa before july then you might get work permit but till now it is verified information to me.

It’s good to see your comments here. As per my advice after finishing this course top-up it from a university. Even if you start with a HTC institute then you might not get work permit. Only university will retain their 20 hours work permit. So better to admit in a University.

Actually im on a Tier 4 visa.My visa expires in 2013.i have 1 and half years to go until my visa expires.got my visa in nov 09 for 3 years.Unfortunately my college licence has been suspended and there is speculation from friends that the college wont be able to secure its licence as a sponsor.Im enrolled on a business info system course-diploma and advance diploma.i have read on uk ba wedsite, if the college licence has been revoked, my visa wont be valid and it will reduce to 2 months.College is still giving us reassurance that they will get their licence.but i dont wont to wait until september 11 to know the outcome and get panick.Do you advise me to start looking for highly sponsor colleges in the mean time and enrol in another college. If i need to enrol in another college, do i need to carry on the same course which i havenot completed or i can change to another course.Also if i enrol in level 6 course, will my dependent be able to work?

i lost my passport and my visa will expire on 30 jan 2012. i have to extend my visa before my expiry date, i had applied for my new passport but my embassy told me it will take 3 months but for the moment they will give me temporary passport. and my question is can i apply with my temporary passport for the extension? if not can you suggest me please.
